Legacy School was founded in 2019 by Pastor Philip Murdoch, who had a great passion and an immense desire to provide excellence in Christian education. Following the example that the world's top educational institutions have Christian roots, Pastor Philip believes that Christian principles lead to the highest quality of education.
The first Legacy School campus started in Campo Grande with a few families who believed in the importance of intercultural Christian education. Legacy holds weekly chapel services at every campus, to engage the students in worship and hearing from the Word of God. Legacy is not only a bilingual school, it is intercultural – meaning that they know expanding their horizons is more than just learning a language. It means immersing yourself in a new culture. Through Light to the Nations, we host missions’ teams from the USA to engage with the students, preach in chapel services in English, and sometimes even participate in outreaches with the students.
Today, Legacy has more than 7,000 students and 25 different campuses, and there is still much more to come!
We are so excited to announce the launch of Legacy University in February 2024! So far, we have been accredited under the Brazilian ministry of education for three majors: business administration, education, and theology. We are looking forward to this expansion and development over the next few years!
